The “Film In Peru” campaign shows our locations at the Cannes Lions Festival
With the aim of promoting Peru as a location destination, PROMPERU through Marca Peru has been at the 65th Cannes Lions International Creativity Festival which took place between 18 and 22 June at the Cannes Palace of Festivals and Congresses in Cannes, France.
Events included the “Peru Hacking France” promotional event, carried out on 21 June before the football match and which made a real impact on festival attendees.
Over 150 professionals took part in the event including international publicists, creatives, producers and art directors. These are the people responsible for creating and making decisions regarding developing adverts, videos, films and audiovisual work in general.
At this meeting organized by Peru, expert publicists were able to view promotional videos of Peruvian destinations, as well as success stories of commercials and audiovisual pieces produced in the country. As part of “Perú hacking Francia” there was also a billboard at the festival and Peru Brand water bottles were given away.
In partnership with the Peruvian Association of Advertising Agencies (APAP) and the Peruvian Association of Advertising Producers (APCPP), the promotional video ‘Meet the Unexpected’ was produced, which under the slogan ‘All the world in one place’ showed the infinite destination possibilities and talent that the country has to offer through a summary of films, music videos and different advertising pieces produced by Peruvian creativity. The video mentioned has been showcased on the website of specialized magazine Shoots, and is now available at www.filminperu.pe, a site created to help promote Peruvian audiovisual production.
