Peruvian tourism promotion films receive awards in Portugal
The four Peruvian films “Generation with a Cause”, “Film in Peru”, “Voyager, colors of Peru” and “Peru, the richest country in the world” received awards at the 11th ART&TUR - International Tourism Film Festival, which took place between October 23 and 27 in Leiria, Portugal.
“Generation with a Cause” got first place in the Gastronomy & Tourism category, while “Film in Peru” also took first place in the Promotion of Film Locations category. Meanwhile, “Voyager, colors of Peru” and “Peru, the richest country in the world” came in second in the Art, music and culture and Destination Countries categories, respectively.
The ART&TUR festival is a leader in the tourism film sector, generating an ecosystem that promotes creativity and innovation within the sector and giving international prestige and visibility to the best projects.
The awards for the four Peruvian films were accepted by the Peruvian Economic and Commercial Advisor to Spain, Bernardo Muñoz Angosto, who attended the awards ceremony, held on October 26, on behalf of PROMPERÚ.
It should be noted that this festival has two competitive sections: The TOURFILM section is dedicated to audiovisual productions for the promotion of tourism, and the DOC section is dedicated to documentaries and TV programs.
Among the topics covered in the TOURFILM section, there are: Tourism Destinations, Cultural Tourism, Sports Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Hotels & Resorts, Events, Fairs & Congresses, Health Tourism & Wellness, Nature & Rural Tourism, and Gastronomic Tourism.
Meanwhile, among the topics covered in the documentary section, there are: Sports & Recreation, Adventure, Expeditions & Traveling, Environment & Ecology, Nature & Wildlife, Ethnography & Society, Arts, Music & Culture, and History & Heritage.
