Peruvian film recognized at Croatian tourism film festival
The Peruvian film 'Voyager Colors of Peru' was recently distinguished as "The best art, music and culture Tourism Film 2018" at the 7th Zagreb TourFilm Festival, held between October 10th and 12th in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city.
The award was received by Amora Carbajal Schumacher, Peru's Economic and Commercial Adviser in Italy, who represented Peru at the festival's award ceremony.
The Zagreb TourFilm Festival aims to recognize films and audiovisual productions that encourage tourism, as well as educate and motivate professionals in the tourism industry to promote destinations, focusing on target groups and inspiring them to look for the latest trends.
The themes that formed part of the festival were the following: tourist destination (city, region or country); adventure tourism; extreme sports; sports tourism (skiing, hiking, cycling); nautical tourism; hotels and resorts; people, culture and tradition; religious tourism; rural tourism; events, fairs and congresses.
It should be noted that this international festival received 807 films from 91 countries, 267 of which were selected for the competition. From this group, the best films were chosen by a jury of 11 experts from Croatia and other parts of Europe.
