Peru will show its cinema and destinations as a guest of honor at the 26th Malaga Film Festival
Peruvian cinema and its incredible destinations will be the guests of honor at the 26th Malaga Film Festival in Spain, which will be held from March 10 to 19. Our country will be the protagonist of the Latin American Focus of MAFIZ (Malaga Festival Industry Zone), where all the national talent, its growth and the possibilities of collaboration with the industry will be shown.
In addition, on March 15, the Peruvian delegation, which will be made up of directors, authorities and representatives of institutions, will receive the Silver Biznaga, the most important award given during this event.
Finally, during this edition of the festival, a panoramic view of the Peruvian territory will be offered with a sample of recent films and two world premieres: The Monroy Case (El caso Monroy) by Josué Méndez; and Diogenes, Leonardo Barbuy's debut film, which is a co-production with Colombia and France; as well as Hipocampo, a short film by Víctor Ibazeta in the Official Section.
National destinations are so impressive that for several decades they have been used as scenery in different productions around the world. During the 26th Malaga Film Festival, these tourist attractions can be exhibited, which have attracted the attention of different filmmakers, such as Steven Caple Jr., who is in charge of the movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
