Puerto Pizarro is a cozy town and fishing port located in the province of Zarumilla, Tumbes, northern Peru. It is located within the Bay of Tumbes and next to the National Sanctuary Los Manglares de Tumbes.

This charming tropical place enjoys a pleasant climate and clear skies. Its population is friendly and hospitable. It is also home to wonderful natural river islands that attract visitors from all over the world.

Three islands are easily accessible from Puerto Pizarro and can be reached by boat. These islands are home to a great variety of marine birds and constitute an important habitat for the conservation of biodiversity.

The Isla del Amor is known to be an important nesting site for several species of seabirds. It is a refuge for pelicans, frigate birds, boobies, herons and other birds that find a safe place to breed on this island. Visitors often take boat trips or excursions to observe the birds in their natural habitat. One of the most beautiful beaches in the region is located here.

The Isla de los Pájaros, completely surrounded by exuberant mangroves, is the ideal spot for bird watching because of the great variety of species that inhabit it; one of the most recommended times to observe them is during the afternoon, when they return to their nests. However, it is important to keep in mind that this place does not have a beach, so it is not allowed to disembark on the island. All activities can be done from a boat, thus ensuring the protection of the habitat and allowing visitors to enjoy the experience in a responsible manner. 

The Isla Hueso de Ballena is named for its geographic resemblance to the arched back of a whale. In addition, it is possible to see whale bones.
